VOICES OF POWER
is a concert length work that explores and and focuses on the Black Lives Matter movement beyond a surface level perspective of protesting for equal treatment of black individuals, but also analyzes the emotions, feelings and experiences of black people from their perspective. Both positive and negative, In this six movement length work, each two pieces contrasts with each other talking about the positives about being a black individual, and then talking about the hardship faced from people who opposed the black community. At the very end of this work, you are left with two things, knowing the hurt and pain that this community feels, but also that despite it, they will rise up and never fall.
